Wild Bunch Warm-up Match June 13th
Wild Bunch Match June 14th - June 16th
On Saturday June 14th through Monday June 16th, SASS will hold its first ever Wild Bunch Action Shooting Match. Using rules very similar to SASS Cowboy Action Shooting, Wild Bunch Action Shooting will employ the use of a 1911 pistol, rather than two single action revolvers, a SASS legal pump shotgun, and a lever action rifle. The idea for the equipment and dress used in this new sport is based on the 1969 movie “The Wild Bunch” directed by Sam Peckinpah.
There will be four categories honored at the Wild Bunch Match at END of TRAIL, Traditional, Ladies traditional, Modern, and Ladies Modern.
There are two ways you can sign up to participate in the match.
- You may sign up for the EOT Main Match (Action or Mounted), which is held on Thursday June 19th – Saturday June 21st, and then sign up for the Wild Bunch Match at an additionl $75.00 to your Main Match fees. You will be shooting the Wild Bunch Match June 14th – 16th and you will also be shooting the Action or Mounted Match June 19th – June 21st.
