The SASS Western Heritage Museum and Cowboy Action Shooting Hall of Fame is proud to announce its 2009 Gun Raffle.  The year we will be raffling a Mare’s Leg Pistol and Rig.  The Mare’s Leg Pistol is a recreation of the gun made famous by Steve McQueen in the 50’s television series “Wanted Dead or Alive.”  The pistol is donated by JB Customs and had an overall length of 24 inches with a 12-inch barrel.  The pistol has a Big Loop Finger Leaver, Walnut Grip and Stock and Metal Butt Plate.  It is finished in Standard Blue and comes in the original 44-40 caliber.   The raffle also includes a Mare’s Leg Leather Holster Rig that is donated by Classic Old West Stiles and is available though JB Customs.

Tickets for the raffle are available on-line in the SASS Mercantile and are $20.00 for 5 tickets.  The drawing will be held at the 8th Annual SASS Convention in Las Vegas, NV on December 5, 2009. Click on the image above to purchase tickets on-line.

2008 SASS Museum Raffle

The SASS Western Heritage Museum and Cowboy Action Shooting Hall of Fame announced in December 2007 there would be an annual  SASS Scholarship Raffle with 100 percent of the proceeds benefiting the Western Heritage Museum and Cowboy Action Shooting Hall of Fame. The Museum was created to provide is to preserve the historic significance of Cowboy Action Shooting and the cultural aspects of the Single Action Shooting Society for the enrichment of the SASS membership, Western lifestyles public and Cowboy Action Shooting industry.

The winner of these guns and rig was drawn Saturday Night, December 6, 2008 at the SASS Convention.  The winner is John Henry Giles, #49700 and his Grandson Dallas Cowboy, #62701.  Congratulations “John Henry Giles and Dallas Cowboy.”
