The Pozo River Vigilance Committee (PRVC) at Lazy Arrow is located on the Camatta Ranch, a 32,000-acre working ranch located about 20 miles east of Santa Margarita, California in the heart of California’s “Central Coast” (35 miles from the Pacific Ocean and about halfway between San Francisco and Los Angeles).
Our range consists of seven stages with wild-west facades, dirt berms, a 100 yard and 200 yard long-range stage, ample parking, and space for up to 100 campers and trailers. Located in a canyon, the PRVC range offers a safe and fun shooting environment.
PRVC was established in 2006 and owned and operated by Three Fingered Dutchman and Dirty Sally until their move to Texas in March, 2015. PRVC then came under the ownership of Mountain Man Mark and Camatta Lilly, and was moved to the Camatta Ranch which they own. There, PRVC was incorporated into Lazy Arrow Adventures, the component of the Camatta Ranch that manages special events.
PRVC proudly hosts more than 55 regular members.
Our regular shooting schedule is the fourth Saturday of every month, and our regular start time is 9:00 a.m., with the exception of November 1 to February 28 where we begin at 10:00 a.m. because of the colder mornings.
The typical need is 60 pistol, 60 rifle, and 20 shotgun per event.
First time guests shoot a free match, PRVC members are $15 per match, and non-members are $20 per match. Shooting at our range (except for the first time) requires that you are a member in good standing of SASS.
Shooters are welcome to come out on a Friday after 3:00 p.m. and be fresh for their shoot on Saturday morning. Friday night is free. There is a $20 camping fee to stay through Saturday night. Dry camping, generators allowed, no open fires.
