Title: Slings, again!
Post by: Boggus Deal on September 18, 2015, 09:26:53 AM
Last reference I can find on slings is from 2012 and they were NOT legal on long guns. Either I am missing it or it is not in the latest WBAS Handbooks. Are slings legal on long guns?

Boggus, remind me that we need to discuss them at the Convention and make a final decision to print in the new rulebook in January.

I asked this same question several years ago and was told in no uncertain terms at the time that absolutely no, not legal. Safety concern due to the possibility of snagging on a prop or something. That ruling came down from on high too.

Saying that, why would anyone want to?

Now a bayonet on a trench gun I can see... 8)

I shot with a sling on my 97' without issue's for years until I was kindly asked to remove it. Never had a problem with a prop or it being in my way. That said I wouldn't put one back on.
