Application has been submitted and registration is confirmed.  Are Goatneck and I the only two who will register for Senior Modern?  Lone Dog, are you not a senior yet?

Goatneck, are you burning the midnight oil to design some more of those challenging scenarios for TX State WB 2017?  Are you gonna slow down that trap machine from 100 mph to 50 mph?  ;D

I'm looking forward to this match.  Can't hardly wait, like a kid looking a presents under the Christmas tree on December 24th.   :)

Lone Dog, just think about TX State WB 2018 - 7-round magazine loads!  The spirit of JMB must be smiling.

Hey GS

Here's what we are going to do when you shoot the stage with the bird thrower.  We are going to let Lone Dog use a hand trap and throw your birds.  This way it will slow the birds down to a crawl.  Is that OK...........LOL

That's an interesting proposal.  If Lone Dog can throw without catching a crick in the shoulder, I'm game!

Everything has really fell into place for this match! 5 stages each day. This match will have a great feel! A shooting match for shooters!  BAMM Saturday afternoon featuring 2 bolt action military matches simultaneously! The worlds first! Featuring a deadly sniper match and a no holds barred 15 round combat match. The big question is what do you have your BAMM rifles narrowed down to? Heard lone dog had to leave his sun roof open and just stuckem all out the top!
Griff no wafers!  Dusty

Lone Dog must be bringing his BAM arsenal!  I'll bring only two - a 03A3 for the sniper match for the targets over 100 yards, and a K-31 for the combat match for targets under 100 yards.  Senior eyes don't pick up that narrow 03A3 front sight very quickly and youthful shooters like you, Goatneck, Hoodoo Brown, and  Captain Jarret will smoke me using that rifle.  Well, now that I think about it, so can those speed shooters from OK!

Judge Hangin Knott said that he'd use a K-31 for both matches, shooting left-handed and being quick with that straight pull bolt.  If he has sights on the target before he pulls the trigger he will also smoke me!

Ongoing health issues precludes my attendance. Agent Orange is winning, as It must. Maybe next year cards.

I've got my fingers crossed that all goes well, deliverin' up in "The Colony" on Friday nite, last time it took until about 5 am Sat for them to finish... then I gotta beat feet all the way across town, get rid of the big truck, load up the p/u, and then drive the 2 hours out to Cleburne...  Hopefully, I can get there before the Pledge.

Thanks to Goatneck Clem and all who contributed their time to host this match.   There was plenty of shooting on scenarios which were easy to understand, with a variety of target placements to challenge the shooters. Thanks to special connections by Goatneck, the weather was absolutely perfect.   I'm looking forward to Texas State WB 2018!

I forgot to say that 29 shooters participated in the Texas State WB match, up from 13 last year and third only to the inaugural Texas State WB match in 2012 (51) and the Texas State Rifle Association WB match in 2012 (30).

Congratulations to the Match Director, Goatneck Clem, Dusty Boddams, Evil Roy, the members of the CVV and LSFSC, and the TSRA by Texas Ghost for fanning the spark!  I'm sure that there are others who contributed to this revival but their names are unknown to me.

News: 17 or 18 shooters participated in BAMM!

The BAMM participation is a notable achievement, marking growth from the Texas State Match in 2014 where as I recall about 6 shooters participated of 17 registered for the match.  Dusty Boddams and Captain Jarrett initiated this event, and Goatneck Clem and Evil Roy championed it nationally.  Or was that internationally?  Considering the number of Swss K-31s and Mausers of all kinds, I would hope that BAMM would be an international event!

Had not allergies been kicking my butt, I'd have finished the 2017 main match and added one count to BAMM.  Some days it's chicken, other days it's feathers!
