Sig Sauer 1911 legal?
« on: September 25, 2014, 01:07:46 PM »
Just wondering, would this gun be legal for WB? Specifically, would the extra cuts in the slide make it illegal? Good looking gun, I would assume it shoots as they don't make any dogs.

Goody,
I have that gun but with fixed sights and I don't see why it wouldn't be legal. I meets the weight requirements and mine out shoots me.....
I don't personally see the extra slide cuts any worse than a gun with a light rail.
Just my opinion.

Those are my thoughts as well, but before I even consider plopping down $850 I would want to be sure. Plus if the question were to come up with another having one it's nice to have a correct answer.

The only thing I see wrong with that pistol is the
"Base Pad" on the magazine...Nice pistol...

Iirc it would pass for a modern gun but definitely not a traditional gun.  The grip safety and hammer are not legal for traditional along with the sights and mag.
