Just Got Through Sorting & Cleaning 2K .45 ACP's
« on: October 28, 2014, 11:08:09 PM »
Decided to get more .45 ACP brass and bought a lot of 2K range brass from Gunbroker ($90 shipped). A very honest dealer, who said that it included the small primer stuff. Appears to be from an indoor range as it had a lot of black dirt/grime. Anyhow, sorted and cleaned it. After the good stuff, ended up with 200 small primer cases; mostly Blazer.

Wondering what to do with these. My current thought is to just let them sit in a coffee can until I get 500 or so and then  load them up for IDPA, as I never get anything much back from their matches. Don't want to use them for WB as they are a PIA.

Any other thoughts on getting rid of them?

Sounds fine if it works for you.  I use my small primer stuff at lost brass matches.

Scrap metal dealers are giving about $1.50 a pound right now for brass.

Turn it into something you can use without regrets.

Good luck, GJ

I bought several lots of once fired 45 ACP's - about 1200.
Less then 25 were SP primers and they went in the brass scrap box
At our club, don't find many SP 45's
