F/S R&D CONVERSION CYLINDER IN .45 COLT FOR SECOND OR THIRD DRAGOON

    BTT
  4. Hello to All, I am offering an R&D conversion cylinder chambered in .45 Colt to be used in Uberti or Colt Signature model 2nd or 3rd Dragoon revolvers. It works very well in my old Western Arms 2nd model, and also fits in my Colt Signature 3rd model. These retail currently at the Taylor web site for $250, I'll let it go for an even $200, shipped. Thanks to all for your time.

Anyone have observations regarding the Taurus Gaucho?

Hello to All, I am being offered one at almost a give-away price... are these revolvers any good? Your thoughts are requested, and thanks for your time. Regards, Sgt. Q.

    Favorite Western Books and Recommendations

The first of McMurtry's series, "Lonesome Dove" was life-changing good. The prequels and sequels were not in the same league, IMHO. Elmore Leonard never disappoints, and Elmer Kelton is also very good. For more vintage Westerns, Robert W. McLeod and Donald Hamilton have some outstanding titles. Dorothy M. Johnson was a master crafter of the Western short story, and you should give her a try, as well. Richard S. Wheeler has some very, very good Westerns, although his "Mr. Skye" series isn't his best work. Try his "Badlands". My favorite living author of Westerns would probably be Loren D. Estleman. "This Old Bill", "Aces & Eights", Bloody Season" and "Sudden Country" are works I can re-read again and again. Ron Hanson has two novels that rise far above the herd, as well, "The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford", and "Desperados" are both must-read works. Louis L'amour is very good when he bothers to be original, but in fact, he didn't write several hundred novels. He actually wrote 8 or 10 books, OVER AND OVER AGAIN. I'm happy to say that there are enough good novels set in the West to keep me happy for the rest of my life

  12. Hello to All, I am testing the waters here... does anyone have a nice used Remington C&B .44 with white faux ivory grips, stainless or blued, that you'd be willing to part with? Steel frame only, please. If you do, please send photos and price to- [email protected] If you have a matching .45 R&D conversion cylinder to go with the gun, I'd be interested, as well. Thanks to all who look for your time. Regards, Sgt Q.

WTB Look a like Quigley Knife

I've got two stag - handled Bowies, one has stag scales on a full tang, the other has the antler base (where it connects to the deer skull) at the bottom of the grip. I'd let one go, but not as a give - away. What's your budget?
