Jim, then you must play again this year and have another good time!

A note on the Comanaheria Days webpage says " If you pay using PayPal or Credit Card we still need a registration form filled out and mailed/emailed to us."

go to Comancheria Days webpage: http://texicanrangers.org/comancheria-days/

Select the registration type

Then click on Add to Cart

Next select Paypal Check out or Check out without paypal account

Print the registration form, fill it out, mail to address shown on reg form.

That is the limit of my assistance.  For all other questions, email Tombstone Mary:  [email protected] She has a system that works and I don't want to foul (or fowl either) it up!

Hmmmm, no....You be stuck with me.  But I will bring her along just in case the weather is nice, so she can shoot with us.  But the weather has to be ideal.

Most of the time we've had ideal weather in April.  But being Texas in the spring, the weather has gone from warm to cold to warm, and dry to wet to dry during the four days of Comancheria Days.  So to all of the participants, guests, and vendors I recommend preparing for winter and summer and in between, and rain to shine!

While we await the return of AD Texaz from the Shot Show to update the count on registrations, I encourage you to send in your registration now.  Historically we will fill up to the maximum the 280 or 285 shooters.  One of the features of Comancheria Days is the ride on Blazing Saddles, shooting your sixguns (or 1911) while moving downrange on your speedy steed.  Likely you will ride Blazing Saddles again if time permits!  If you aren't presently shooting BAMM (Bolt Action Military Matches) but have an old military bolt in original condition (unmodified, unsporterized, rules on the WB website) and have cast lead bullet loads for it, you could enjoy the two BAMM side matches - one is Close Combat with 15 rounds at speed and the other is Sniper with 10 rounds at distant targets.  You can really crank up some action!

Tombstone Mary provides the headcount as of 1/26/2018:

220 Registered Cowboy Shooters, maximum 285

33 Wild Bunch Shooters, maximum 60

Don't procrastinate, only 65 more cowboy shooters to fill up the posses with about ten (10) weeks until match time.

You know you want to join the fun so send in that Registration form available here:

Hope to see you all there. It is a slice of heaven....with ringing steel, the smell of burned powder, barbeque waffling on the breeze, a dog wagging by sharing the morning sun with his Alpha...ain't  life grand?

And then of course, there is Hoss! Standing like a rock amongst  the milling cowboys...like a virtual lighthouse of information with occasional insults thrown in!

Hope to see you all there. Remember my motto....'Shooting last...So you don't  have to.'

I finally got around to sending in my app.  Last year was the first year I shot Comancheria  Days since 2000, as a job conflict that had me working in Fort Collins that weekend every year finally ended.

Hey Grouchy, the website says round count for the 4 stages of Wild Bunch is 60 pistol.  Is it possible that someone forgot to update the round count for 7-round magazines, or are they going old-school with 5 rounds?

Good question, Abilene.  I hadn't noticed that.  I'd bet my last magazine that we will use fully loaded 7-round magazines.

Last time I talked to Sheriff Love he hadn't written the scenarios pending final location of the targets.  I'll post this link to him, ask him update the Wire.  If the Sheriff don't know it, it ain't worth knowing!  Stay tuned.
