CAI JW2000 hammer double

Recommended Posts

Anyone seen or used one of  these Century Arms doubles? Decent reviews on youtube, just like to hear from someone that has shot one.

I have one. It works well, but it is a case of you get what you pay for. There are a lot better ones out there, but like it said, it works well, but it may not hold up long term the way we work them. Also, unless you are shooting a category such as Classic Cowboy that requires working hammers, a hammerless double such as a cheap Stoeger will be a lot faster to operate

I have one, got it for next to nothing at Big 5 probably 10 years ago on an impulse buy. It works fine with Featherlites or BP, but usually refuses to open after firing heavier loads like the Walmart cheapies.  And it mounts totally different from any other shotgun I have.  Different drop or something.

Thanks guys, I do have a Stoeger deluxe and a Rossi Overland. The Rossi is in like new condition, but you cannot cock both hammers with the action open, unless you have the action release lever bent, and I do not want to alter such a nice shotgun.

Been wondrin the same thing!  I'm crazy enough to go ahead and slick one up just for the heck of it and see how it goes.  For the price its worth taking a chance.

For the average shooter ,

It will be just fine .

As long as you spend some time smoothing things up .

The Top 10% would Not touch it for free .

Big heavy Ugly

Will get the job done !
